        • HOW TO GET YOUR BEST SCORE:
          • I will do a live study session on Thursday night at 8 pm. I will tweet the link and post it here on the weblog an hour before going live. Have your questions ready.
          • Remember that reviewing and analyzing your section 1 test can help you improve your section 2 score!
          • Worried about VOCABULARY? Try this: Get a study group together (people you know will be helpful and work well together) and make a list on a Google doc of all the words in the section that you think are challenging words. Work together to define them AND / OR share and study them using a flashcard app or website. Here are a few good ones:
            • Brainscape (free- uses spaced repetition method - also has iOS and Android app)
            • Quizlet (free- also has an iOS / Google Play app)
            • Cram (free- also has an iOS / Google Play app)

    • The rest of the period was spent in the computer lab with the counselors on the Apply Texas. We will begin the essay portion in class next week.
    **NOTE: I have to return to jury duty on Monday 9/18/17, so I will be out again unless I am informed that the case was settled. There will be an assignment on section 2, so be prepared.

      • TEST on section one will be Fri. 9/8/17.  The test will have multiple choice questions as well as short written responses. At least one question will come from the Study guide
      • There will be vocabulary on the test, but I will give the context for the word on the test. That means I will give the whole sentence where the word appears and ask you to explain the meaning of the word as it is used in the sentence.
    • 2A: Remember to bring your parent slip from the tax increase flyer back to me on Friday.
